Yesterday was quite cold by Florida standards. It was a bone chilling 32 degrees outside with frost covering the grass, cars and roofs. So what do you do when it's that cold and there are gorgeous light reflecting ice crystals everywhere? Grab your camera - don't change out of your pj's because any delay and the rising sun will quickly melt all that beauty - and go outside and shoot!
My previous shoot was at a theatre and my camera was set at tungsten. I totally forgot to change my settings in my hurry, but I actually really liked the blue tones on the above image. Who knew a weed could be so beautiful!
My husband started the grill to make some breakfast sausages creating gorgeous vapor swirls from the heated lid and the cold air. The picture above you can see the orange hues from the rising sun.
Another weed, that normally would get pulled, but really looks quite beautiful covered in ice!
I've missed your Macro Monday (UM, Tuesday) posts!! What fun and so glad you're back at it again!
ReplyDeleteMacro gives such a different perspective of some not so fun things (weeds). I love the first image btw. The blue makes it really impactful. Sometimes forgetting to switch WB can make for a happy accident!
